DiBonis winery and distillery, founded in 2009. by Laszlo Boni, an electrical engineer with a passion for vineyards, represent a unique combination of family tradition, expertise and inexhaustible energy. About Laszlo Boni
Laszlo Boni, a native of Zmajevac, helped his parents in the vineyards of Baranja throughout his childhood. After moving to Subotica for education, the family abandoned viticulture. László graduated in electrical engineering and founded a successful industrial automation company. However, the love for vineyards always smoldered in him.
In 2005, after purchasing the land and adequately preparing the soil, the first saplings were planted, marking the beginning of a great adventure. Investments followed – a new hall, winemaking equipment, a special room for barrique barrels. And then it’s 2009. year, the year that is remembered, the company DiBonis Winery was founded for the production of wine from its own vineyards.
DiBonis: The Wine Revolution
László is not only a vineyard and winemaker; he is also an avid researcher. Over the years, he changed grape varieties, looking for those that would best suit the local climate. In addition, he constantly improved, graduated in viticulture and winemaking in Budapest, and is now a graduate student at the St. Stephen’s College in Gedelle.
DiBonis Winery is not only about producing wine but also about creating something authentic. Laszlo is 2022. decided to reduce capacity and focus on the production of smaller quantities of wine, creating exclusive and interesting wines such as late vintages and rosé. This change was not only a business one, but also a philosophical one – wine that is created without excessive human interference.
In 2023 In 2008, the DiBonis winery submitted a request for certification of organic production, because they had been using only organic products for years. László believes that by changing the approach and reducing capacity, the winery is finally treading the path of true expression of wine terroir.

Laslo pays great attention to the selection of fruit from his own orchards and from surrounding producers. His dedication to detail during the production of brandy has resulted in numerous awards at national and international competitions.
